NORMAN WEBER

     Norman Levi Weber was born near Kingman, Alberta on May 9, 1922  to his parents Abram and Mary Weber. He was released from the cares of this life in the early hours of Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Tofield Acute Care Centre, at the age of 96 years.

 

     He leaves behind his family that he loved so dearly: one daughter Carol Hofferd of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, three sons, Marvin (Margaret) of Tofield, Arnold (Alvera) of Brooks and Linford (Ronda) of Greenwood, Delaware; 12 grandchildren, Chad Weber, Amy (Noel) Wee, Candace Hofferd, Jackie (Ken) Wiebe, Collin (Teri-Lyn) Weber, Andrea (Jody) Weberg, Tyler (Andi) Weber, Greg (Kim) Weber, Layne Weber, Barry (Erin) Weber, Jared (Danielle) Weber and Bert (Charlotte) Weber; 15 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Ellen Weber, Alma and Doris Burkholder; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

 

He was predeceased by his wife Clista on December 30, 2005; son-in-law Russ Hofferd and all his siblings, Dorothy Martin, Fern Toman, Wilma Friesen, Edna Torkelson, Florence Martin and Lloyd Weber.

 

     Norman farmed for many years in the Tofield area, worked in Camrose at the Bethany Long Term Care Centre and helped the boys in funeral service in his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Salem Mennonite Church serving in various capacities with special interest in the Summer Bible School and Sunday School departments. He devoted his life to his family, church and community. He lived a life of sincere faith and devotion exemplified by service to others.

 

"Well done thou good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of thy Lord.”  -Matt. 25:21.

 

  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 1, 2018 from the Salem Mennonite Church, Tofield (one mile north of the intersection of Twp. Rd. 492 and Rg. Rd. 184).  Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorial donations gratefully accepted to the charity of ones choice.
