Patrick James McCauley, 36 of Tofield AB, passed away on October 3, 2018, from injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident.

He was born in Edmonton AB on September 18,1982. He graduated from Tofield High School.

Patrick enjoyed a career as a research engineer for Dell Computers and later pursued his interest in culinary arts while working for Ukrainian Cultural Village.

Patrick was a gentle and caring person in every way.  Whether it was tending his garden, caring for animals, helping a friend or standing up for others, his heart was evident to all who were privileged enough to really know him.

He often considered others before himself. He was a loyal and compassionate friend with a ready smile, generous heart and fantastic sense of humour.

Above all, Patrick was a devoted father who adored his children; loving each of them equally and completely.  He took his role as a parent very seriously, tirelessly working to better their lives and his own even through adversity. Among his children are, Tierney, David, Samuel, Isabella, Benny and Patrick Jr.

Patrick will be missed by all. He is survived by his parents, Dave and Deena, sisters Janessa Kleinman (Seth) and Alysia McCauley, brother Shawn and grandmother Edith Robbins. Also, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents George and Myrtle McCauley and maternal grandfather Ben Robbins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tofield AB.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Mental Health Association.
