BILL MCINTOSH

Date: October 5th, 2018

With sadness, the family of William (Bill) A. McIntosh would like to announce his passing on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Tofield, Alberta.

Bill is survived by his brother-in-law Dan Nadon, nieces Rochelle Shukalek and Jeannette Nadon (D’Arcy Burke), great-nieces Alyssa and Julianna Shukalek, as well as cousins Paula Donahoe, Micki (Dave) Cassels, Chum (Denise) Trent, Monty (Linda) Trent, and Tom (Terri) Trent. He was predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Evelyn McIntosh; sister, Elizabeth Nadon; and cousins, Trent and Donna Delves, and Mike Donahoe.

Bill was employed at AGT (now Telus) as an engineer for over 30 years. His nickname at AGT was “The Professor” because if there was ever a problem he was able to fix it. He loved the mountains and, in his youth was an avid mountain climber. He was a longtime member of the Alpine Club of Canada and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He also loved music, and enjoyed many years playing recorder and trombone for various bands in Tofield, Camrose and Edmonton. He also loved the land, and upon his retirement built his home on the family homestead in the Tofield area.
Bill was truly a special man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service and lunch will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Tofield United Church (4832-53Ave, Tofield). Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, at Bill’s request, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
