    Eleanor Jane Wideman was born on Dec 15, 1925 at Forestburg, Alberta to William and Annie (McGowan) Swaren; she passed away at St Marys Hospital, Camrose on December 11, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
     Eleanor was raised in the Galahad area, farmed with Leonard in the Kingman area, and retired in Tofield. On July 15 1948, she married Leonard Wideman. Eleanor will be remembered for her sewing, serving and participating in the church, and being a grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
    Lovingly remembered by her children Janette (Al) Martin of Strathmore, Karen (Ken) Polege of Edmonton, James (Brenda) of Kingman, Eunice (Barry) Kaechele of Kelowna, and Lenore of Edmonton; 12 grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law Doris Swaren, Ella May Burnstead and Pat Wideman.

     She was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1995; brother Gilbert; and 24 brothers and sisters-in-law.


     A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Salem Mennonite Church (1 mile north of intersection TWP492 Range Road 184).  Interment will follow at the Salem Mennonite Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
