JOSIE (JO) WILLIAMS

On November 21, 2012, Jo passed away at home, surrounded by family, after her curageous battle with cancer. Jo is survived by the love of her life, John Anthony Williams, her children; Stuart (Jan), Aubrey (Marilyn), Johnette (Allan), Howard (Donna), Hugh (Deb), Bret, her son-in-law Grant Harrison (Deb), 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as other family members and friends. Jo was predeceased by her daughter, Hermione Jo Harrison, and her grandson John Rudolph Williams.
One of Jo’s greatest joys was being director of the South Side Mother’s Day Out program from 1978 – 1994. As a teacher Jo influenced the lives of several hundred young children. Jo was also a member of the IODE, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Chapter for 50 years. Jo loved her garden, flowers, travels and captured nature and life through her artwork.
A celebration of Jo’s life will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012, 1:00 PM at the Tofield Funeral Chapel, 5107 – 49 Street, Tofield, Alberta. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. J. Spratlin and Dr. H.H. Sternberg and staff for their compassion and care. Donations in memory of Jo may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
