Edith (formerly of Holden) was born in Northern Ireland and celebrated her 2nd birthday on a ship bound for Canada.  She passed away in Camrose at the age of 95.
She is survived by her son, Eric Carlson, her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Lyle Andrusky and her daughter-in-law, Carol Carlson. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jonathon Carlson (Tanya), Heather Yeske (Jason), Kathryn Andrusky, Brian Carlson (Crystal), Kevin Andrusky, and Debra Andrusky along with 6 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Avarie Carlson, Helena, Scott and Samuel Yeske and Zachary Carlson.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Melvin in 1996 and her son Robert in 2015 as well as by her parents Charles and Louise Lamb,  five brothers - Richard Lamb, Ernest Lamb, Robert Lamb, Joseph Lamb and Eric Lamb and three sisters - Kay Palmer, Meta Armstrong and Freda Scott.
She spent all but five years of her life in Holden.  She was a kind, gentle person (with a spirit of fun).  Children especially were attracted to her and she was "Granny" to many.
Edith's last 3 years were spent at Bethany Meadows in Camrose which she called "home" and where she was loved by the staff.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Ryley Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Seth Bussey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice.
