Wilma Lemko (nee Kowalchuck), was born in Hafford, Saskatchewan to Annie and John Kowalchuck. Wilma grew up with a large family of 13 brothers and sisters. She married her husband, Mike in 1952 and they raised 4 children. Wilma and Mike moved to several communities before making Camrose their forever home in the early 1980’s. Along their journey to Camrose Wilma had found joy in cooking in restaurants, hospitals, and also catering. While working in each job Wilma grew her love of cooking and baking. Wilma was a generous person. We benefited from her generosity as shared her pies and Ukrainian treats with everyone. Wilma enjoyed a night out playing Bingo with her friends where luck was often on her side. Everyone she met was considered a friend. She managed to live in her own home until she moved to Good Sheppard in Wetaskiwin, AB.
