Our History

Our story begins with Marvin who started his career in 1971 at Southside Memorial in Edmonton. He moved to Camrose where he was employed by Arnold Hoveland at Hoveland Funeral Home in Camrose. When the Hoveland Funeral Home was sold Marvin moved back to Tofield where he ran the family farm and also built Tofield Funeral Home.

In 2002 we purchased the Mount Pleasant Funeral Chapel (formerly Hoveland Funeral Home) in Camrose. Marvin’s sons Chad, Tyler and Layne all worked at the funeral home.

For over 40 years, Weber Funeral Home has been a part of the Tofield and Camrose communities.  We give back to our communities in supporting our local charities, non-profit service organizations and volunteer on community boards.  We also give support to our profession through volunteering our time to the board of directors for the Alberta Funeral Service Association and the Alberta Funeral Service Regulatory Board. Tyler Weber is a past-president of the Alberta Funeral Service Association and Marvin Weber served as director for the Alberta Funeral Service Regulatory Board.
